The Underground Railroad in Westerville

This free event features presentations about the Underground Railroad's role in the Westerville area, with talks scheduled throughout the afternoon so you can choose a time that works best for your family. The house itself will be open for tours, giving you a chance to see this historic home and learn more about the people and places connected to this era. Presentations happen at 1:30 p.m., 2:15 p.m., and 3 p.m. in the Shoemaker Cottage located behind the main house. Whether you're a history buff or just curious to learn more about your community's past, this is a welcoming, no-cost way to spend part of your Saturday. The whole site is accessible to the public, and staff are available if you have questions.
