Star Gazing at Flint Ridge

Star Gazing at Flint Ridge

Free drop-in stargazing and sky-exploration activities for all ages at Flint Ridge Nature Preserve.

Spend a summer evening exploring the night sky at Flint Ridge Nature Preserve! This free program welcomes families of all ages to discover the stars and moon through hands-on activities. You can drop in anytime between 8 and 10 p.m. and spend as little or as much time as you'd like at the shelter house. Whether your family wants to stay for thirty minutes or the full two hours, there's flexibility built into the evening. Learn to identify constellations and hear the stories behind the patterns we see overhead. The program combines stargazing with interactive learning, so kids get to actively engage rather than just look up. There's no registration needed—simply show up during program hours and join in. Best of all, it's completely free, making it an affordable way to connect with the night sky as a family.
