Speaking of History... Living History: A Paralympic Journey

Josie Fouts, an Asian-American athlete and amputee from Toledo, will share their inspiring story at this living history event. Josie became a professional paracyclist in 2018, earning three national gold medals and setting a national record. After a cycling accident redirected their path, Josie returned to elite competition just seven months later—this time as a paraclimber. Now based in San Diego, Josie continues breaking barriers and inspiring others through adaptive sports. This is a great opportunity for families to learn how athletes overcome challenges and build inclusive communities through sport. Josie's firsthand account shows young people what's possible when determination meets adaptation.
