Semiquincentennial Celebration – Independence Day Parade

Independence Day parade celebrating New Albany's 250 years.

Join New Albany's special celebration of the nation's 250th birthday with a festive parade themed around 1776. Expect a lively procession featuring decorated golf carts, marching bands, costumed participants, and surprise performances throughout the route. The parade will be led by Chief of Police Greg Jones and City Manager Joe Stefanov, who are being honored as Grand Marshals for their service to the community. This free event welcomes families of all ages and promises entertainment from start to finish. The parade begins in the morning, with entries arriving between 9:30 and 10:30 a.m., and the festivities continue throughout the day. The route runs from the intersection of New Albany-Condit Road and Chatham Green Drive to New Albany High School's parking lot (accessed via the Fodor Road driveway). As an added highlight, fireworks light up the sky at 10 p.m., making it a full day of Independence Day celebration. Best of all, there's no admission fee to attend and enjoy the parade with your family.
