Seeds of Caring's Birthday Bag Assembly youth service event
Free youth service event assembling birthday bags while learning about gratitude and helping families in need.
Your child can make a real difference at this hands-on service event hosted by Seeds of Caring and Home for Families. Kids ages 4–12 will decorate and pack birthday bags filled with cake mix, frosting, candles, and celebratory items. These bags go to families who rely on the Home for Families food pantry—giving children in our community the chance to have a birthday celebration. Along the way, your child will learn about gratitude and helping others in a meaningful, age-appropriate way.
The event is completely free, and all materials are provided, so you just need to show up ready to help. Adult caregivers must accompany child participants throughout the activity. Younger or older siblings are welcome to tag along, though the event is specifically designed for the 4–12 age group. This is a wonderful opportunity to teach your children about generosity while supporting families in Columbus who are working to meet their basic needs.
