Remembrance Ruck
Community reflection walk honoring veterans, bringing families and the public together at the National Veterans Memorial and Museum.
The National Veterans Memorial and Museum invites the community to participate in this inaugural walking event honoring those who served during the Global War on Terrorism. The approximately 5K route begins at the Museum's Rooftop Sanctuary, follows the scenic Scioto Trail, and concludes in the Memorial Grove—spaces intentionally designed for reflection and connection. As you walk, you'll have opportunities to pause, listen to stories, and deepen your understanding of the Veteran experience alongside Veterans, active-duty service members, military families, first responders, and fellow community members.
Whether you carry a rucksack (a meaningful military tradition) or simply join as you are, everyone is welcome and encouraged to participate. This free event is part of the Museum's wellness initiative, NVMM ECHO, which recognizes that connection strengthens community. While registration isn't required, the Museum welcomes optional donations to support their mission of preserving Veteran stories and expanding educational programs. Bring your family and take a few hours to walk together in remembrance and gratitude.
