Red, White, and Boom! at Scioto Audubon

Patriotic celebration with fireworks at Scioto Audubon Park.

Celebrate Independence Day at Scioto Audubon with Metro Parks' Red, White, and Boom! event. The park opens early at 6:30 am and stays open through the fireworks finale. Arrive early for free, first-come parking; if the lot fills, you can still park outside and walk in. Keep in mind that traffic will be busy as everyone leaves after the show, and rangers will be directing cars. The day offers something for everyone. Starting at noon on July 2, you can reserve a viewing spot (up to 20ร—20 feet) for your family. Kids will enjoy Metro Parks activities running from 4โ€“8 pm, and the dog park is open for your pets (all other pets must stay leashed). The water tower closes at 9 pm, and if you have a boat, the boat ramp opens at 8 am for canoeing or kayaking on the Scioto River. Metro Parks Rangers and Franklin County Sheriff's Deputies will be on-site throughout the event. Remember: alcohol, drones, and personal fireworks aren't allowed. For questions before the event, contact info@metroparks.net or 614-895-6249.
