Ohio Open Doors: Tour Du Jour
Tour Ohio's historic Statehouse and learn about state government and history.
The Ohio Statehouse is opening its doors as part of a statewide heritage celebration honoring Ohio's history and the National Historic Preservation Act. Throughout the week of September 14–18, the Museum and Education Center will offer five different themed tours, each starting at noon. Depending on which day you visit, you can explore Women's History, the Statehouse's Art collection, the building's historic Flags, the legacy of Salmon P. Chase, or take a tour of the Grounds (weather permitting).
These guided tours are a wonderful way for families to learn about Ohio's government building and its significance to the state. Whether your kids are interested in history, art, or architecture, there's a tour tailored to different interests. Each tour provides an inside look at this important landmark and what makes it special to Columbus and Ohio.
