Ohio History at the Ohio State Fair
Ohio History Center exhibit and activities at the Ohio State Fair, open daily 10am–5pm.
Visit the Ohio History Center while enjoying the State Fair! The museum opens daily during the fair, welcoming guests from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. This year marks a special opportunity to tour the Ohio Village renovation project as it takes shape. The first phase has introduced major upgrades, including improved accessibility with ADA-compliant walkways, a reimagined town center with a central bandstand, expanded food and beverage options, a new Bier Garten with modern restrooms, a 1920s-style pharmacy complete with a soda fountain, and a family farmhouse displaying early 1900s home life. While some features remain under construction as utilities are being installed, many improvements are viewable now, with full public access expected by 2027.
Admission pricing is straightforward: adults cost $12, youth ages 6–12 and seniors 60+ are $10 each, and children under 5 enter free. Ohio History Connection members receive complimentary admission to the museum and can claim two free fair admission tickets in person at any State Fair gate with their membership card. Members also enjoy free parking throughout the fair. The museum's main entrance serves as a full fair entry point, so expect standard security screening and ticket processing.
