New Albany Independence Day 5 K

Join the New Albany community for a festive Fourth of July celebration centered around a 5K race and walk. Starting early in the morning, this event welcomes families of all fitness levels—whether you're a serious runner aiming for a personal record, jogging alongside your kids, or simply enjoying a patriotic stroll. The schedule kicks off with activities for the youngest participants, including a Toddler Crawl and a Kids Fun Run, followed by a Pet Parade (so bring your furry friends!), with the main 5K Walk/Run beginning at 8:45 a.m. This is a free community event held at Market Square, making it an affordable way to start your Independence Day with neighbors and friends.
