
Lift Like a Girl: Summer Session (Grades 8-12)
Strength-training class designed for middle-school girls at Philip Heit Center.
This strength and conditioning program is designed for middle and high school students who want to build power, speed, and athletic confidence in a welcoming, energetic setting. Classes blend individual workouts with team-based activities, so each participant can work at their own pace while staying motivated by the group. The program also emphasizes mobility training to help young athletes move better and reduce injury risk—skills that carry over into sports and daily life alike.
The eight-week summer session meets twice weekly on Tuesdays and Fridays from mid-June through mid-July (with two dates off for holidays). Classes are held at the Philip Heit Center, outdoors on the patio when weather allows or in the lobby if it rains. The full series costs $136. This is a great opportunity for teens to develop strength, movement quality, and the discipline that supports athletic success.
