Historical Society of Mt. Pleasant Annual Historic Tour

Guided walking tour of Mount Pleasant's historic sites tied to Quaker and abolitionist history.

The Historical Society of Mt. Pleasant invites families to explore a community with deep roots in Quaker history and the Underground Railroad. The centerpiece is the historic Quaker Yearly Meeting House, now recognized as a Network to Freedom site. Located in the Mount Pleasant Historic District—a National Historic Landmark—the tour showcases how faith and social reform shaped this Ohio community. Over two days, visitors can explore five additional historic buildings maintained by the society, watch living history demonstrations, tour select private homes, and visit a working farm that shows what daily life was like in the area. Admission is $15 per person. The tour runs Saturday 10 a.m.–5 p.m. and Sunday 1–5 p.m. For the most current information about what's happening during your visit, check the Friends of Historic Mount Pleasant, Ohio Facebook page.
