Learn life-saving skills in a welcoming, hands-on environment with this American Heart Association CPR Certification Class. You'll practice real techniques on training manikins and AED devices while gaining the confidence to respond effectively if someone experiences cardiac arrest or a breathing emergency. The course covers CPR for adults, children, and infants, plus how to use an Automated External Defibrillator and help someone who's choking. No medical background required—this class welcomes anyone from the community who wants to be prepared.
The four-hour session includes a skills evaluation and brief written test. Those who complete both receive an official AHA certification card good for two years. The cost is $75 per person. This is a practical, skills-focused class where you'll gain hands-on experience rather than just watching demonstrations, making it ideal for parents, caregivers, teachers, and anyone wanting to be ready in an emergency. The class takes place at the Philip Heit Center Conference Room. For questions, contact Healthy New Albany Programs at (614) 685-6344.
