Fruity Friends: Needle Felted Mini Magnets
Hands-on needle felting workshop creating 3D fruit magnets at the Cultural Arts Center.
Your child will dive into the world of fiber art at this hands-on needle felting workshop. Using soft wool and special barbed needles, participants will learn to shape miniature fruits—think apples, strawberries, and pears—into three-dimensional sculptures. No experience necessary; the instructors will guide everyone through the process of interlocking wool fibers to create firm, detailed pieces that double as fridge magnets. Each participant takes home their finished creations and gains skills to keep experimenting with needle felting afterward.
This relaxed, creative session welcomes beginners of all ages and interests, whether your child loves nature-inspired crafts or simply enjoys trying something new. All materials are included, and the welcoming environment makes it easy to focus on the fun of making art. Children should be old enough to handle sharp tools with minimal supervision. Registration is required to participate, and the best part? The program is completely free.
