Explore! Series: Sounds of Space

Your family can dive into hands-on STEM activities celebrating music and space at this special event. Kids will have the chance to create their own instruments—whether that's making music with Boom Whackers or building a harmonica to take home. Interactive guided tours run throughout the day, giving everyone a chance to learn about the fascinating history of music in space while exploring the museum at their own pace. No advance registration is needed; activities and tours operate on a first-come, first-served basis with your general admission ticket. Admission is affordable, with children ages 6–12 at $8, adults at $14, and kids 5 and under getting in free. The museum is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., giving your family plenty of time to participate in whatever sounds most interesting to them.
