You'll learn straightforward techniques for baking with discard, including making fluffy muffins and the trendy sourdough discard Cheez-Its. It's designed with beginners in mind—no advanced baking skills needed. By the end of the class, you'll have practical recipes and tips you can use right away to make the most of your sourdough.
This class welcomes families with older kids. Children ages 10–17 can attend alongside an adult (just email programs@healthynewalbany.org ahead of time for approval). The workshop costs $85 per person and takes place at the Philip Heit Center Demo Kitchen. It's a great way to learn low-stress sourdough baking while reducing kitchen waste.
