COSI Science Festival

Spend a week diving into hands-on science with the COSI Science Festival, a four-day celebration that brings STEM to life across Columbus. The festival kicks off with over 25 community events happening throughout the area—everything from glass-blowing demonstrations to brewery tours—so there's something to spark curiosity for different ages and interests. You can also join the BioBlitz initiative, where families contribute to real scientific research by photographing plants and animals in Ohio and uploading your findings to track local wildlife. The festival culminates in the free Big Science Celebration, held in the parks and riverfront around COSI. This final day features interactive demonstrations and hands-on activities led by local STEM professionals, researchers, and experts from fields like zoology, pharmaceuticals, engineering, and beyond. It's a great chance for kids (and adults!) to see how science shows up in everyday work and industries.
