
Be Strong (boys in grades 4-7): Summer Series 2
Strength-building fitness class for boys in grades 4โ7 at Philip Heit Center.
This six-week program teaches elementary and middle school boys how to build strength and muscle endurance using bodyweight exercises. The instructor prioritizes teaching correct form from day one, covering movements like squats, pushups, and lunges. Once boys have mastered the fundamentals, workouts progress to combine these movements into more challenging routines that build agility, endurance, and overall power while maintaining an emphasis on proper technique.
The program runs weekly and is led by Alex, a certified personal trainer who currently instructs at OrangeTheory Fitness locations in the area. He creates an inclusive environment where boys of any fitness level can learn and build confidence in their abilities. The series costs $84 per person and meets at the OSU Fitness Studio.
