Bark Bash
Dog-friendly festival at Prairie Oaks Metro Park—bring the whole family and pups!
Bring your furry friend to the second annual Bark Bash, a full day of activities designed for dogs and their owners. Running from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., this free event offers plenty of ways to keep your pup entertained and active. You can try paddleboarding or kayaking together (with canine lifejackets provided, or bring your own), tie-dye a bandana as a keepsake, browse a marketplace of dog-friendly vendors and organizations, and explore hiking trails or the off-leash dog beach area. There will also be live performances from Franklin County Sheriff's K-9 units and Performance Dogs of Ohio, plus opportunities to cool off at ice castles throughout the park.
All dogs must stay leashed except in designated off-leash areas. To make the day comfortable and pleasant for everyone, bring along water and waste bags. Whether your dog is a water lover, a social butterfly, or just enjoys a good walk in the park, there's something here for every pup. Admission is completely free, so it's an affordable way to spend a summer day with your four-legged friend.
