Altered Book Junk Journaling
Altered Book Junk Journaling at Priscilla R. Tyson Columbus Cultural Arts Center
Your child—or you—can dive into a creative, hands-on day learning the art of altered book junk journaling. This workshop welcomes participants of any artistic background, from complete beginners to those with some experience. You'll explore techniques like reconstructing books, layering backgrounds, and combining collage with mixed media to build something uniquely personal. The focus is on experimentation and trying new things without pressure to create a "perfect" finished piece.
By the end of the session, participants will have started their own altered book and gained practical skills to keep creating at home. This is a great way to explore mixed media in a supportive environment while making something meaningful to take home. All skill levels are truly welcome here, so whether your child has never picked up a glue stick before or you're looking to refine existing crafting skills, this workshop has something to offer.
